A transferred thought

Last night we visited MIL's church for a special sermon. This thought stuck with me, so here it is for YOU to think about.

Are you called to be where you are? Are you serving where you know God wants you? If not, then you have a command to follow, "Go ye therefore into all the world and preach the gospel!"

How much of what you have and do are things God has commanded you to have and do? Are you sure? Have you been ignoring or avoiding a call to serve or teach?

We wives have it slightly easier. We are to follow our husbands and serve where they lead us. But we are not to keep him from going when he's called further away than we wish to go. And where we are, there we must teach and serve, whether it be to friends or enemies... or "just" our own children (oh, dear!... "Just?" How God loves to poke at my shallow perspective to persuade me to see just a little more clearly.)
